Twin-screw pump is important in ship, petroleum chemical industry equipment. It has astrong self-priming capacity, high efficiency, small ripple, low vibration noise and notsensitive to the viscosity of the medium, etc. Twin-screw pump can not only transport liquid,but also can achieve gas-liquid mixing lose and is not sensitive to the viscosity of the medium,whose use range is very wide, commonly used in oilfield, petrochemical industry,shipbuilding industry, and some of the food industry. Therefore, the study of twin-screw pumpdesign and manufacturing to improve our level of twin-screw pump has importantsignificance.Firstly, from the basic theory of profile to start, including the principles of classificationand a different type of line formation to determine the end face outline of the rotor, thenestablishing a three-dimensional model of the rotor by PRO/E,and calculating the screw rotorgeometry characteristics and theoretical study of twin-screw pump flow rate and then settingup other parts of the twin-screw pump such as the pump body, bushing, three-dimensionalmodel of gears and bearing assembly simulation, meanwhile observing whether interferenceoccurs in the rotary member during rotation, researching of each point on the rotor speed,acceleration and position change rule. And then the screw rotor dynamic balancing areanalyzed. Establishing a three-dimensional model of the flow field double pump and byimporting FLUENT, the fluid simulation analysis is made, so as to get twin-screw pump flowfield pressure distribution, velocity distribution and velocity vector distribution. whichprovide s a reference for the study of twin-screw pump performance. Finally, according totheoretical flow equation to find out the different helical rotor depth and lead ratio, and thenoptimizing lightweightly rotor structure parameters. Compared with the before optimizationof flow field, analyzing the optimized the flow field in twin-screw pump by FLUENT.compared with the before optimization of flow field.In this paper, the theoretical analysis and computer simulation to come together to theperformance of twin-screw pump and rotor profile of research and analysis provides areference for the design of twin-screw pump.
