Field Investigation And Value Evaluation Of The Shandong Minor Third Front Industrial Heritage Which In Tai’an And LaiwuMountainous Areas

The Shandong Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites are historical relics from a special period of history of the People’s Republic of China, presenting unique characteristics distinguished from common urban industrial heritages, reflecting the state of society the specific historical period of the country was in. Researching, protecting, and utilizing the Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites are undeniably necessary and valuable. However, due to their particularity, the research, protection, and utilization of the Minor Third Front industrial heritages in Shandong Province so far has not made major progresses due to an extreme lack of fundamental data and materials. As a result, conducting field research to the Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites in Shandong Province timely, scientifically, and thoroughly has become the foremost task for the research, protection, and utilization of the Minor Third Front industrial heritages.This article begins with the researches related to conducting field surveys for the industrial heritage sites and its information gathering, integrated with a value evaluation system for the Shandong Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites, develops a scientific field survey method for the Shandong Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites, furthermore, using Tai’an and Laiwu mountainous areas in Midwest Shandong Province as the survey area, conducts field survey for the Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites in the area, compiles, and organizes all the raw data collected from the survey with standardized method.Firstly, this article defines the concept and scope for the object of the survey, and by listing examples from related researches of industrial archeology especially conducting field survey for industrial heritage sites and information indexing, provides theoretical support for the research conducted in this article.This article, secondly, through introducing the value evaluation system for the Shandong Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites, integrated with the characteristics of the Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites in Tai’an and Laiwu mountainous areas in Midwest Shandong Province, decides the essential data elements needed to be gathered, and develops a scientific method of conducting field survey for the Shandong Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites. Through the research of survey indexing of industrial architectures, it also compiles and develops a standardized method of information bookkeeping format for the data of the Shandong Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites.Furthermore, by conducting field survey and data collecting field practice activities for the Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites in Tai’an and Laiwu mountainous areas in Midwest Shandong Province, the survey method is put into practice, verifying its applicability and scientific nature. Then, integrated with the value evaluation system for the Shandong Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites, based on the collected fundamental data from the Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites in this area, an evaluation of value is conducted for the Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites in Tai’an and Laiwu mountainous areas in Midwest Shandong Province, and with examining the evaluation result, exploring the characteristics of its value, suggestions are made to better protecting and utilizing the Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites in Tai’an and Laiwu mountainous areas in Midwest Shandong Province.Last but not the least, this article makes additional introduction for its future application in protecting and utilizing the Shanding Minor Third Front industrial heritage sites, its research shortcomings, and difficulties needed to solve in the future researches.
