| Parametric design is being used as a key word appeared frequently nowadays. Itshows the unique thinking logic which from part to whole, from bottom to top. Thisdesign pattern makes the traditional work patterns change greatly. Architects begin tofocus on the process to come up instead of considering the design results. Thus thearchitects don’t need to waste their time drawing. However, as the environmentcontamination is increasing, people began to establish ecological consciousness. Thedevelopment of contemporary science and technology present the trend of digital andgreening, which make contemporary natural science highly differentiated and promotethe digital technology and green technology to integration.Therefore, this essay selects the environment factors as the main object. Itanalysis the parameters based on environment, hopes to find a parametric designmethod combined with the concept of greening and environmental adaption.The paper falls into six chapters with67,300words and140diagrams. It beginwith the origin of the digital technology, briefly reviews the entire digital technologyand environmental adaptive buildings. And then it introduces architectural parametric design tools,thoughts, and applications, in order to explore the architectural design method basedon the environmental adaptive concept.
