Temperature is an important factor affecting the reliability of electrical connectors. If the temperature of connector is too high, it will weaken the reliability of the connector, and it will reduce the connector’s life. In order to enhance the carrying capacity, we need to reduce the temperature. Faster heat dissipation, more uniform temperature distribute inside the connector. Reducing the temperature of the connector, the connector can withstand higher currents more loads. Therefore, the thermal analysis and heat control for connector is necessary. In this paper, in order to obtain steady-state temperature of the connector, the exact numerical calculation is necessary. The finite element analysis software, ANSYS, can simulate the temperature distribution of the connector according to the thermodynamic theory. According to the result of the simulation of the temperature and the heat flux distribution, an optimization program is provided. The program will be proved by ANSYS again. The result will provide a basis for further optimization of the connector.According to the simulation results, three optimization programs are provided. First, we optimize the structure of connector and change the heat transfer path; Then we change the materials of the shells with higher thermal conductivity and increase the rate of heat transfer; Final, in order to increase the convection rate, we need increase the convection coefficient. Through the simulation results, these programs are able to play a certain cooling effect. In this paper, we simulate the connector using the finite element method. The result will provide the basis for the further optimization...
