Abstract/Summary:
There are many achievements in research of Chinese urban morphology recently, however, with the rapid development of urbanization in China and apparent problems of urban climate, research of the relationship between urban morphology and microclimate in urban areas is still lacking. Problems of wind conditions in urban areas, such as diffusion of wind pollution, reduction of heat island effect and improving indoor ventilation conditions, need imminent solutions. In this background, this paper mean to find the relationship between urban morphology and wind pressure of buildings, which stand for the indoor ventilation conditions of the buildings.In the background of city roughness,which is a branch theory about wind conditions in urban district, the article took example by the conclusion of the experiment based on this theory, and then present some ideas. In this paper we will make some summary of urban morphology in Nanjing, which show its homogeneity and rapid development. Then we will establish the standard CFD model, which could simulate the wind conditions in residential district in Nanjing properly.Then,4basic transformations in the homogeneous fabric would be summarized,which could be combined together to form some more complex transformations in a real urban morphology.So,the second solutions could be taken in CFD, and the results would be compared by the parameter of the D-value of wind pressure between two faces of residential buildings.Final summary of the relationship between transformation in urban morphology and wind conditions of indoor ventilation could be taken at last. This research is very important to Chinese cities in design, which still need full development of urbanization and more residential district. A fine wind condition is a important factor to judge whether a residential district design is proper beyond fitting laws and regulations and needs of development.
