This article is to briefly introduce the development and current situation of automobiles at home and abroad and analyze current the state of development of car wheels. Based on the deep analysis of the property of steel wheels and aiming at lowing the oil consumption rate, lightening the material weight and increasing the wheel’s working life, this article illustrates the rationality and superiority of the research of aluminum alloy wheels designed.Based on several types of aluminum alloy wheel production, to explore how to improve the quality during the product design methods, in order to product the production which achieved bench experiment.Combination of research papers, more in-depth three-dimensional design, finite element method and optimization theory and rationale of a theoretical analysis and software applications.Using the function of CAE software ANSYS and its open framework, ANSYS software environment for this application, focused on product design in aluminum alloy wheels, how to more effectively during the structural strength analysis, optimization and evaluation of life specific issues. As the actual wheel load conditions and complex characteristics, based on general vehicle dynamics modeling errors are often large, this aluminum alloy wheels with a finite element analysis model of the wheel test bench based on principle of load modeling, desolate country round the wheel in accordance with building standards, and the load is based on1997China’s auto industry-standard light-alloy wheels in the automotive performance requirements and test methods required for the experimental load applied, in order to achieve product design and development phase of the wheel series analysis of physical products more support test.Complete CAD design software CATIA geometric modeling of aluminum alloy wheels, the wheel in ANSYS for the strength analysis, optimization and design work. Product analysis of the original design calculations show that:the maximum stress is much less than the required earnings alloy wheels, large reserves of strength, resulting in material waste, desolate, and the wheel spokes are the thickness of variables to optimize the design and analysis fatigue life. The results showed that:the wheel without increasing the maximum stress in the case, the optimized alloy wheels, a more reasonable distribution of stress, allowing the use of the material points, reducing the weight and reduce costs.Aluminum products for the research carried out bench, that:In this paper the theoretical design research methods to better support the test results, which will help improve the quality of the product aluminum alloy wheels, new product development to shorten post.
