As the resource depletion and increasing competition, companies pay more attention toupdate speed of products and cost control, so simulation and lightweight design get theiropportunities to grow up. The development of auto industry is a significant symbol tomeasure the level of industrialization, and wheel hub is an important part of car and carriesfull weight, so it is important to research it with simulation technology.The article respectively simulates the dynamic bending fatigue test, the dynamic radialfatigue test and impact test with finite element method. In the dynamic bending fatigue test, itensures the position of biggest effective stress of the process of wheel rotation, and then ituses this position load to replace the whole load of wheel hub to carry out fatigue analysis,according to the method of combination of simulation and movement modules. In thesimulation of dynamic radial fatigue test, it ensures the effective stress of wheel hub with themethod of segmentation instead of rotation, and then it carries out fatigue test based on theresults of stress analysis. In the simulation of impact test, it lets the contact moment of wheeland impact block as the initial time and carries out two non-linear contact analysis, accordingto the direction of impact block whereabouts planning with the center line of wheel hubwindow or wheel disk. The results from three simulation tests are consistent with the actualtests, and then further verify the accuracy of simulations.The car normally meets the situation of dynamic bending fatigue test and dynamic radialfatigue test when it is running, and the paper does the lightweight design based on thesituation. It does the geometry optimization and topology optimization and then reaches thegoal of weight reduction.
