Time-variant Reliability Maintenance Decision Model Based On The RCM Theory

In the operating cycle of the device system reliability and maintainability are indispensable concepts, reliability centered maintenance is more reasonable at that moment. The paper discusses the change law of reliability, maintenance cycle and maintenance total cost through establishing the reliability maintenance model based on the RCM theory, analyses model parameters by engineering datas, and obtains equipment maintenance datas through processing functions as before by using Matlab software. Then we can develop appropriate maintenance strategy for the device system. The main contents are as follows:(1) This topic describes the meaning and background briefly, organizes the research status domestic and abroad, classifies and illustrates some modeling methods appropriatly, and explains contents of the research projects in detail.(2) This topic introduces the basic knowledge about the RCM theory and maintenance modeling, discusses repair methods in different states and methods of determining preventive maintenance intervals, and pave the way for own modeling method.(3) Thinking of the current status of regular maintenance, this topic introduces the time-varying reliability factor, establishes time-variant reliability maintenance decision model based on RCM theory, analyzes the reliability change and maintenance cost after each repair, and seeks the best maintenance interval.(4) Because of regular maintenance may resulting in over-repair or under-repair service, this topic establishes on-condition maintenance decision model considering the time-varying reliability and economy, and gets the best maintenance interval under the condition of the min cost.(5) This topic analyses the two decision-making models respectively, compares with each other between maintenance times and maintenance costs in the working life cycle, and analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of the model.(6) This topic summarizes to the time-variant reliability model in this paper and prospect for future research.
