Good preventive maintenance (PM) and its fine management is a key to survive in afiercely competitive market. Preventive maintenance can reduce the wear and aging effects ofdeteriorations systems. It is assumed that imperfect maintenance restores the system operatingto somewhere between as good as new and as bad as old. Therefore, it's important and alsonecessary to do the research of imperfect preventive maintenance.The dissertation focuses on a certain subsequential preventive maintenance strategy andits modeling under the imperfect maintenance conception in finite time horizon. There arsuncertainties of maintenance quality in PM modeling with influenced by equipment's age. Toresolve the uncertainties, based on the investigation of the theory of imperfect preventivemaintenance and optimization method, it proposed to describe the change of reduction factorespecially the change with time by a probability distribution based on expert estimate andstatistics. It's more suitable to depict the decreasing trait of the reduction factor withequipment's ageing and equel costs. What's more, the mathematical models are morereasonable.For the variational PM costs situation, this dissertation constructs a reduction factormodel to show the influence of equipment age and PM costs. It gives the sample, analyses thesensitivity of result as the changing of parameters and also compares the diference of optimalresult under the situation between changed and unchanged PMcosts.At chapter five, it probes into the necessarity to carry out PM actions under certainwarranty strategy and so the influence it brought to the product's life-span. It gives a modeland so optimial chice between several schemes from different perspectives, customer orproducer. What's more, it gives a win-win choice under certain condition.With the advancement of the theory of optimization and PM strategy, the mathematicalmodeling of imperfect PM strategy will be more accurate, impersonality and reliable.
