| Currently, the secondary equipment of the conventional substations is hierarchically distributed and the different parts of it operate independently. The equipment of monitoring alarm, controlling operation, relay protection, fault recording and measurement and metering is clearly divided, which leads to the variety of the equipment, the heavy load of the transformers, the complexity of the secondary cable’s wiring, the inability of exchanging message between different devices, the repetition of the investment and the module’s function and the high cost of operational maintenance. The centralized protection based on intelligent substation accomplishes the sharing of the information and integration of the functions and is highly integrated. Besides, it requires less secondary devices and can improve the whole equipment’s intelligent level and optimize the structure of the communication network, which significantly contributes to the economic benefits. In this paper, after the analysis of rationale and feasibility of the centralized protection, the following implementation plan of centralized protection is put forward for the110kV substations of the ancient pagoda of Rongcheng.(1) The centralized protection devices are adopted for the protection, measurement and remote control of the main transformers and110kV substations. Cut down the number of devices and cubicles and reduce the size of the cabinets of the secondary equipment on the premise of the system’s reliability. The substations of35kV and lOkV are still protected by conventional distributed protections, and their devices are installed locally in switch gears.(2) Configure two sets of measurement and control equipment for the centralized protection. The redundant configuration is conducted by the two identically configured cubicles.To take the full advantage of the intelligent substation in data collecting, transport handling and information sharing and to optimize the integration and reach the construction requirement of "Saving the resources and protecting the environment, integrating the function, optimizing the configuration and topping the technique", the following optimized integration is conducted according to the features of the intelligent substation:integrating and combining the units and intelligent terminals and adopting integrated devices, integrating the automatic system of the substation, the system of fault-information substation and "Five Prevention" System and combining their function into the integrated information platform, recording the faults by the network and integrating the function of network analyzer to the recorder, assisting the information fusion of the substation system with the integrated platform by the isolating devices, accomplishing the advanced application functions of sequential control, station domain control, intelligent alarm and the composite analysis and decision of the fault information, supporting economical operation and optimization control and source side maintenance. |
