Research On Bus Protection Based On IEC61850

Networked bus protection, which is based on IEC61850, is studied in this paper. At first, The paper, from two sides:substation and IED, concludes how to entirely realize the standard series, laying the foundation for networked bus protection; then,introduces two essential technologies which is closely related with the protection: Merging Unit realization technology and Embedded Ethernet realization technology; after that, studies the realizing scheme from aspects such as structure,hardware composition and the software relevance design. At last, in order to illustrate deeply the real-time problem of networked bus proctection, the type and rule of arrival time of process bus data streams are proposed; and the key eventually come to the choise of sampling rate.
