The full load bus body technology has gradually become the mainstream bus design, which has been widely applied by the advanced and famous bus enterprises in the world. Compared with the non bearing or half load bus, full load bus has no chassis structure. During collision, the stress can spread rapidly throughout the whole body. Besides, the torsion strength of the steel used in full load bus is3--6times than which of used in other ordinary bus. Accordingly, the full load bus moves more smoothly, more comfortably and more safely. At present, it can be said that the full load bus is one of the most secure bus in our country.The body structure of full load bus is not made by traditional riveting process, but made of welding process. The welding precision control of bus frame can show the manufacturing level of a bus enterprise, which is also the foundation of quality in the market competition.In this paper, on the one hand, a large number of welding experiments were carried out. Based on the analysis of the influencing factors and laws of bus frame welding quality, the optimization of welding process parameters has been obtained. On the other hand, the welding stress and deformation of the typical welding joints such as the butt joints, the end filled joints and the T-joints in the full load bus frame were calculated by numerical simulation. In order to control precision of car body, the lower heat input is preferred.
