In order to reveal the motion law and the flow characteristics of the complicatedgas-solid two-phase flow in impeller blowers, a three-dimensional simulation wasperformed for the solid-gas two-phase turbulent flow in the impeller blower by using Fluentsoftware. The flow field distribution and characteristics of the motion law of the impellerblowers at work were studied, at the same time,the working parameters of the impellerblowers was analyzed and optimized..In this paper, some typical working parameters on the influence of material flow wasanalyzed, the working parameter values in the simulation were determined and thenumerical simulation model of the three-dimensional gas-solid two phase flow numericalsimulation method in impeller blowers was established: a Eulerian model, a standard k-εturbulence model and a SIMPLE algorithm were used. After the validation model correctly,the simulations on variations in working parameters such as paddle numbers, impeller’srotational speed, material-fed speed, and volume fraction of solid phase were carried out.It was concluded that:1) Impellers with4paddles were are more favorable for throwing/blowing materialsthan3and5paddles.ï¼') Feed speed had a great influence on distributions of materialsvelocity; when Feed speed of13.5m/s, the device will not cause blockage, and throw morematerial in unit time.3) The change of the volume fraction of solid phase at inlet has lessinfluence on the distribution of materials velocity; it only affects the volume fraction of solidphase at the entire zone.4) When the impeller blade installation with an angle, especially10o-backward impeller blade, area velocity distribution is more homogeneous, eddycurrent small and beneficial to the improvement of the efficiency of toss.5) Distributions ofmaterials velocity in the impeller blower change muc h with the velocity of throwingblowing when the velocity was change.Our study provides the theory basis for further improvement.
