In recent years, due to the city’s rapid commercial and industrial development,social accelerating process of urbanization, urban construction land has becomemore tighter. The most buildings are Lower buildings or multi-storey buildings in ourcountry before reform and opening up. Most of these buildings has been preserved,and the level of seismic fortification of these buildings are lower. These buildingscan’t meet the demand of social development. However, the original building hasbeen unable to meet the needs of social development and people’s increasing demandfor housing.Steel structure has the advantages of light dead load, good seismicperformance and speed construction installation compared with the traditionalreinforced concrete structure. But on the plus-story steel design method is notscientific, imperfect, remained mostly empirical design basis conditions.The steelstructure and layer technology design method is not science and not perfect at present.Structural optimizing design,is the object of domestic and foreign scholars of commonconcern in recent years.It provide a new method for the design of structure to developmore reasonable and safe.In this paper additional layers of steel structure on afour-story reinforced concrete structure will be optimized and analyzed.In this paper, a hospital in Beijing four-story reinforced concrete building as acase, additional layers from the steel frame member section dimensions of theadditional layers of steel to optimize the design. This paper firstly summarizes thedeveloping situation of steel structure house in china and other countries andintroducing steel frame design theory, including design specifications used on thesecond-order elastic analysis method. Then, consider adding layer steel frame membersection size to the amount of steel as the goal to optimize the design for thecalculation of cross-sectional dimensions. Finally modeled using PKPM structuralcalculation software for the original structure, add layer composite structure andoptimized hybrid structure were analyzed.With the most reasonable force structure,the least amount of steel as the objective function, To build the size of designvariables required to regulate the strength、stiffness、structural requirements for thestate variables, works on paper, the optimal design examples.
