The concept of green retaining and protection is based on traditional retainingand protection technology, that we take the environmental protection, resourceefficient use of energy, reduce labor intensity, improve working conditions as the coretarget. then take it for green innovation and green technology research, and build acomprehensive, systematic green retaining and protection technology system, toachieving "four save two protect and one strengthen" requirement of green supportinginnovative technical ideas. But how to effectively transform the comprehensive valuebenefit into real competitiveness, is an important problem of green retaining andprotection in excavations forward development.This paper is aimed at the competitiveness problem of comprehensive benefits ofgreen retaining and protection in excavations. Then from the analysis of the currentgreen building industry current situation and development of the basic problems in thebeginning, and then put the green supporting ideas to the foundation pit excavationengineering after fully draw on the basis of green construction of our country.By the comparative analysis of green retaining and protection and traditionalretaining and protection in excavations, and from the perspective of the wholelife-cycle perspective, we obtained that the comprehensive benefits of green retainingand protection is superior to the traditional retaining and protection in excavations, itis mainly outstanding performance in better economic benefits (efficient use ofresources and energy) and environmental benefits (source Reduction of pollutantemissions) and social benefits (social sharing outcomes).By analysis and discussion the difficulties and possible competitive of how toeffectively put its excellent overall value of benefits translate into reality of greenretaining and protection in excavations, we drawn that the value engineering analysiscan be better to take the "four save two protect and one strengthen" and other aspectsof the comprehensive benefits of green retaining and protection to be evaluated toquantify the level of indicators. By using the principle of value engineering to analyze the function and the costcalculation of the the comprehensive benefits of green retaining and protectiondesign scheme in excavations, and take its benefits reality quantify for the level ofcompetitive analysis and evaluation. Then we obtained that the value coefficients ofPHC pipe piles and prestressed anchor cable retaining and protection、revolvingdigging cast-in-place bored pile and prestressed anchor cable retaining andprotection、 reinforced composite soil nailing wall were1.0705,1.0103,0.9092respectively. So in selected cases engineering support scheme can give priority toPHC pipe piles and prestressed anchor cable retaining and protection.In short, the comprehensive value-effective of green retaining and protectiondesign scheme in excavations can be quantified evaluation of the program based onvalue engineering analysis and can effectively put it into real competitive. For theother hand, it is also conducive to the integration of limited social resources in orderto achieve excellent engineering results and comprehensive value benefits.
