Research On The Post-occupancy Evaluation Of Free-opening Urban Park Of The Centre District Of City In Kunming

With the acceleration of urbanization, the current China’s urban construction has entered a new period of rapid development; lead to a sharp increase and in the planning and construction of a large number of public parks, the area public park in Kunming has also grown dramatically in recent years. Free-opening urban park as close to people’s daily lives outdoor public spaces, accomplish a site for public recreation, entertainment, fitness and social interaction, the merits of the quality of space affects the level of public outdoor activities.The importance of free-opening urban park has been more widespread consensus, researches on the free-opening urban park is gradually increasing in recent years in China and abord. But the main object of study in favor of comprehensive urban park, the study of the community parks and roadside green space which most closely with the public everyday life are less, the results have a certain one-sidedness.The thesis introduction the theories and methods of Post-Occupancy Evaluation, study the free-opening urban park in the centre of city of kunming through POE. Classificated the free-opening urban park into three categories of planar, linear and dotted by different space form, selected a number of representative studies object in each categories for studing. Selected Green Lake as the representation of planar Free-opening Urban Public Park, Panlong River Public Park in the Taoyuan Street as representation of linear free-opening urban park, Xiziying roadside green space, Jinbi park roadside green space, Xibayiyuan roadside green space and West train station overpass roadside green space as dotted Free-opening Urban Public Park as case.Through the methods of field surveys, questionnaires and interview surveys to Surving the selected objects, compared and analyed the results of survey, Compared the similarities and differences between the different types of Free-opening Urban Public Park in use. On this basis, summarized the factors influencing in use of Free-opening Urban Public Park and problems in the centre district of city in Kunming. Deal with the problems; propose optimization suggestions from two aspects of management and designing.
