Because the portal frame relative to other building structures has the advantagesof high strength,good stability, high efficient construction or clean and environmentalprotection. Portal frame has been widely used in industrial building. The main contentof this paper is a six-span lightweight portal frame structure design and finite elementanalysis. The portal frame is located in Zhejiang Shaoxing City, construction area of8280square meters, span of120meters, length of69meters, the seismic intensity ofthe sixth degree, the design life of50years.Firstly,the paper discussed structure design of portal frame, it is according to theconstruction or technical requirements, using PKPM software to calculate the portalframe, and according to the calculation result checking main member, component,node, corbel, foundation or other bearing components. Secondly, the paper using thefinite element analysis software ANSYS to analyse a beam-column node, and tocalculate the reliability and safety of the node.In summary, the paper discussed the structure design process of engineering case,and analysis of the beam-column node. Structure design method met specificationrequirements, the calculation results met specification requirements met objective rule,The results had certain reference value to other portal frame structure design.
