As an essential part of the industry development, the valves become a symbol to measure the level of country’s production, the development of the valve industry gradually towards the direction of large capacity, high parameter, high demand, high effect and multi-purpose automation. The traditional design method of the valve has not quickly promoted the development of the valve industry, the computer aided design will become the inevitable trend of the valve design. This paper mainly realizes the intelligence of the valve design based on the influence of the media to the valve through the theory of CFD, also analyzes the structure and intensity of the valve using fluid analysis software——Fluent, finite element analysis software——ANSYS and so on.(1) This paper makes a set of suitable theoretical model for butterfly valves through the comparison of existing experiment data and simulation data, the establish of this model is the foundation of this paper, which can carries out the comprehensive analysis about the butterfly valve.(2) This paper gets a large of the experiment data and parameters through analyzing the structure, strength and flow pattern of the butterfly valve by using the improved model. According to the data, the author puts forward the project of structure optimization and the disadvantages of valve operation.(3) The author optimizes the structure of the valve and establishes the optimized model of connecting rod butterfly valve, then analyzes the improved butterfly valve by using fluid model. And finds the improved butterfly valve is better than the original butterfly valve on structure and function. Meanwhile, this proves that the optimization of using fluid analysis to butterfly valve is reasonable.(4) The author put forwards a new method through using multi-field coupling analysis to the connecting rod butterfly valve, and verifies the improved butterfly valve is better than the original butterfly valve on deformation under the strain (5) This paper deeply studies the failure form of the valve——cavitation. It has detailed analysis from its root cause, to its development process, and finally to its damage, which uses mathematical models, fluid simulation and so on, finally gives the method to avoid cavitation.This paper analyzes stiffness, strength, flow resistance and flow condition of the valve through various method based on CFD, this solves the problem of the great cost of the valve experiment. Meanwhile, the author deeply researches the failure form of the valve, and makes valve design from the traditional experience design to the modern intelligent design.
