Crawler frame as the core component of walking mechanism on crawler crane is an important support for the entire crawler cranes and connecting parts, and which mainly bear machine dead-weight and external loads. Therefore, the structural strength directly impact on the mechanical working performance. Its design and manufacturing quality is directly related to the safety of crawler cranes, so there are practical significance for design and finite element analysis on the structural of crawler frame.In this paper, according to the design principles of the walking mechanism on crawler crane, to analyze and calculate the basic design parameters on walking mechanism, and to provide reference for the initial crawler crane designers. When the main boom of crawler crane is in straight-ahead, positive side and angle is a with the straight-ahead of the body, to analyze the calculation of different ground pressure of tracks, according to the ground pressure of tracks to calculate the reaction force.Applied three-moment equation in mechanics to solve the reaction force of each supporting wheel within crawler crane walking mechanism.For crawler frame on crawler crane to built a rational finite element model, and selecting five kinds of work conditions in crawler crane. When the main boom of crawler crane is in straight-ahead,the front45°,positive side and the rear45°of the body, Under the five working conditions, crawler frame to withstand different loads, using the finite element software to model for crawler frame structure and checking its strength, therefore,to improve the security of crawler crane operation. To static analyze for crawler frame, maximum displacement of crawler frame is1.285mm, which appears on the empty lateral position of crawler frame on one side of crawler frame guide wheel.Modal analysis is carried out on the crawler frame, and to analyze the natural vibration characteristics of crawler frame, offering reference for estimating the dynamic characteristics of crawler frame structure. Six orders vibration figure obtained by model analysis, track frame ends appears maximum displacement of6.681mm, which to offer reference for evaluating the dynamic characteristics of crawler frame structure.
