As cars are used by more and more families and gradually become indispensable inpeople’s life, traffic congestion in cities is increasingly prominent. Mechanical parkingsystems, with small area occupying and car accessing automatically and rapidly, canalleviate the traffic difficulty effectively and has broad prospects for development. The stacker of a3D aisle-stacking parking system comprises all of the motioncomponents, and is the most important actuating device of the garage. The overall designof the stacker was in this dissertation based on a thorough understanding of the workingprinciple of3D aisle-stacking parking systems, with the characteristics of advancedperformance and practical reliability and operating safety. The working principles andproperties of the components of the stacker, such as the running mechanism, liftingmechanism and access mechanism, were studied. And the different mechanisms that couldactualize a certain function of the components were compared and analyzed. The characteristics of this dissertation are as follows:(1) The running mechanism ofthe stacker driven by a variable frequency motor in order to facilitate the smart control ofthe running state.(2) A worm reducer driven by side magnetic braking three-phaseasynchronous motor was used to transmit power in the lifting mechanism. Dual brakingprotections of the motor and the reducer ensured the safe operation.(3) Crawler transfermode was used for cars accessing which has the advantages of simple structure, reliableperformance, and can reduce the manufacturing cost effectively. The mechanism principle and dynamic analysis of the stacker of a laneway stowing3D garage were fulfilled in this dissertation. The key structures and dynamic componentswere simulated and analyzed by finite element method. The designed stacker can completevehicle access operation quickly, accurately and safely, and has the advantages of low costand easy to realize automate management. The research results of this dissertation haveexcellent implications for the promotion of mechanized3D parking garage, and canprovide theoretical basis for the development of high speed stacker.
