At present, our nation’s railway freight transport mainly focuses on the heavy load. As the largest coal energy corporation, Shenhua Group Corporation has brought heavy load trains into operation to satisfy its increasing transportation needs on its own railway. The onerous transportation tasks and complex line conditions make the problem of car body fatigue damage prominent one. Now the corporation needs the load spectrum which satisfies its own rail condition to do fatigue analysis and set foundation for corporation’s heavy axle-load freight cars. This thesis is based on the data from spectrum test of C80and main content of this thesis can be summarized as follows:(1) This thesis is based on the data from spectra test on Shenhua railways for six rounds. Spectrum of C80on vertical, lengthways, rolling and torsional conditions are established from data collected from test on distance of4920KM, which includes adverse railway conditions and complex car body operation conditions. The spectrum can set foundations for fatigue damage analysis and heavy axle-load freight cars operations.(2) Differences between load spectra obtained from different marshaling locations are analyzed in this thesis. Then fatigue damage of car body from different marshaling location is calculated based on dynamic stress of key structures to illustrate the difference is caused by the longitudinal forces. Suggestion that exchange marshaling at proper time is given then.(3) The finite element model of C80is established to do simulation under vertical, lengthways, rolling and torsional conditions, which provides mechanic basis and load-stress transformation factors are calculated.(4) Fatigue damage is calculated based on stress spectrum and load spectrum respectively according to AAR standard. With damage consistency principle, correction factor is achieved by optimization calculation, which makes calculating fatigue damage with load spectrum feasible.(5) The fatigue life of car body is evaluated based on stress spectrum after stress-time history doing zero drift removing.
