Manufacturing is critical to a country’s economic and political status, because of its decisive position and role in the21st century on industrial production, many countries, particularly the United States and other developed Western countries regard the manufacturing development strategy of a top priority. China as a big country in manufacturing, with the growing international competition and rising labor costs in China’s manufacturing industry, the equipment efficiency, manufacturing costs, product quality and other aspects of increasing demands, the competition among enterprises become more intense, in order to meet the challenges of the market and reduce further costs and increase productivity, all manufacturing companies are looking for better technology to support and improve its manufacturing field, but this time, to develop for technology research,development and application of digital factory,which conducive to promoting the realization of automation and intelligent manufacturing process, and is expected to effectively promote to enhance the overall level of intelligence equipment, to achieve technological leap in manufacturing.In this paper, the national special project West Energy’s " digital workshop for clean and efficient boiler intelligent manufacturing" is the background, proposed boiler intelligent manufacturing of "digital" solutions, focus on the study of digital assembly process planning part, to reduce boiler production costs and shorten the cycle of the product to market, improve product quality, so that companies become more competively. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, on the basis of the background discussion, we use three-dimensional modeling software-UG in production plant and production line layout to build3D modeling, and choosed some typical station to build three-dimensional modeling.Secondly, based on Tecnomatix,I studied the digital assembly process planning for boiler drum, and used Process Designer and Process Simulate modules in Tecnomatix to built optimized digital assembly sequences and digital assembly path, avoiding the collision, improving assembling efficiency, reducing rework rate.Finally, I designed a3D assembly training system based on ASP.NET platform. So that workers can learn drum assembly through the computer in workshop.,to improve work efficiency, reduce human error.
