The predecessor of this weigh counter is89C52microcomputer produced by ATMEL company. Accoding the voltage changes converted by weighing sensor, the microcomputer can calculate the total number of objects by the single weight gived, and display on digital tube. This counter uses220V AC power supply, so the consumption is bigger, and cannot realize portable use. So we develop a intelligent weighing counter using low power. The core of hardware of this machine is Atmega16produced by ATMEL company. Pressure signal is converted to voltage signal inputing to single chip machine by resistance strain weighing sensor. The single chip machine operates and deals with the signal according the information setting by the user and displays on the LCD screen. This machine works by query mode having the function of peeling detection automatic, weighing detection, counting detection and a friendly user interface etc. The machine should be setted the rang of tare weight and the single weight. The weight and the number of the objects can be seen by reading the parameters and handling the datas collecting by weighing sensor. Before using the machine, the system should be calibrated. Standard weight need be used to calibrate the zero and span to ensure the accuracy of weighing. After this, counting should be calibrated using a certain number of standard bags selected randomly. When replace the production, the machine should be re-calibrated because of the different number and different weight of the production. The machine should be checked after calibrating to prevent error.Experiments show that this system has been initially implemented the function of weighing counting, detection of tare weight and detection of counting. This machine achieves the target of the subject.
