In recent years, along with the increasing of low head hydro-power resourcesdevelopment, the light bulb tubular turbine has been more and more used widely. As alow head, large flow of bulb tubular turbine is the ideal model of economic andpractical in development low head hydro-power resources which has high energyconversion efficiency, small size, light weight, good cavitation performance, andmany other advantages. The governor is the importance control equipment to ensuringthe safe and stable operation of bulb tubular turbine,so research on the bulb tubularturbine speed has the vital significance. The paper through theoretical analysis to establish the mathematical model ofthe bulb tubular turbine regulating system, and has carried on the simulation analysisof control system based on MATLAB. the simulation results has made the comparisonwith the bulb tubular turbine speed field experiment to optimize the simulationparameters, and provides the theoretical support of the bulb tubular turbine governingsystem research. In additional, the paper in view of the guide vane and blade sensorof the traditional hydraulic turbine speed governor has the measurement accuracy isnot high, slow response, poor anti-interference ability is insufficient to study a non-contact displacement sensor based on giant magnetostrictive materials, andoptimization design and analysis its working principle and circuit.Themagnetostrictive displacement sensor with high measuring accuracy, fast responsespeed, strong anti-jamming capability and resistance to high temperature and highpressure, will be conducive to resolve the speed regulation system of regulating theproblem such as low precision and slow response.
