The individuals in Hefei city drink water that are from the Pishihang artificial irrigaton Canal, and in the next few years the population of Hefei will maintain a steady growth with the economic growth and the formation of the city traffic network system. The population of Hefei has sought the water from the Pishihang Canal many times in order to ensure the city water supply in2013. It can be predicted that the original artificial irrigation canal may be reconstruct because it may not meet the needs the growing population of the city in the recent years. There are multiple channel landslides in the process of using in Pishihang artificial irrigation canaI,and the soil of the landslides are the expansive soil that through the investigation. The expansive soil is a kind of complex soil that contains extremely complex properties. It does the research about the stability analysis of slope of expansive soil artificial canal reconstruction in this paper that are taking the landslides of the Pihe River in Pishihang artificial irrigation canal as the ground. It does the research about the stability analysis of slope of expansive soil artificial canal reconstruction in this paper that are based on the basic principle of finite element strength reduction method. And the irrigation canal reconstructs using the Midas/GTS software as the tools that are from the width and the depth.
