Effect Of Auxiliary Pier On Mechanical Properties Of Single Pylon Cable-stayed Bridge

Cable-stayed bridge is a special structure because when a initial tension was givento the cable,the change of internal force and deformation as well as the variouscomponents of the force cable-stayed,such as auxiliary pier.The dynamic responseunder earthquakes,typhoons,vehicles loads and other dynamic excitation is moresensitive on such a large span statically indeterminate systems,so it is very important tostudy the dynamic response of cable-stayed bridge.In this paper,the Third Feiyun-jiangBridge as the paper research background,which is modeled by the large finite elementsoftware Midas/civil2010.By changing this bridge with or without auxiliary pier，twokinds of systems has been modeled.Static and dynamic characteristics and seismicresponse of single pylon cable-stayed bridge has been systematically analyzed.Frist of all,the rational cable force of the two kinds of structural systems isresearched by choosing the strain energy of the structural system of unconstrainedoptimization as optimum aim.And,compare the rational cable force with the practicalcable force.Secondly,a static analysis is numerically simulated on the basis of the practicalcable force.The laws of internal force and displacement under kinds of load cases arediscussed.Third,the two kinds of structural systems’dynamic characteristics are calculatedand compared,such as,the natural vibration period,frequency and modal characteristics.Last of all,response spectrum analysis of the two kinds of structural systems isresearched.Then analyze dynamic response of the two systems under the action ofearthquake ground motion.
