The short-pylon cable-stayed bridge is a new kind of developed bridge structure in recent 30 years, its structure system is changeable, with both characteristics of cable-stayed bridges and continuous beam bridges. As the earthquake disaster happened frequently in recent years, especially the WenChuan earthquake of SiChuan which happened in 2008 bringed disastrous lessons, now the reconstruction project after the disaster is processing in busy and the seismic design of bridges gradually became the concerned topics by people,so it is nessary to do research on dynamic behavior and seismic response of such new bridge structure as short-pylon cable-stayed bridges.The main content of this paper includes:1,The paper discussed the development situation and characteristics of short-pylon cable-stayed bridges,introduced the development and status of seismic analysis on long-span bridge concluded theories of seismic dynamics and analysis on seismic response.2,With the project background of a single cable plane and short-pylon cable-stayed bridges,the paper did research on dynamic behavior by Midas/Civil 2010,and analysised the effect of pile-soil-structure interaction on dynamic behavior.3,In use of response spectrum method and dynamic response history analysis method,the paper analyzed seismic response in the level of El and compared the results. The response spectrum analysis used the standard acceleration response spectrum as the input spectrum curve and calculated seismic response bridge in axial direction, direction across bridge, vertical direction and 3 direction, concluded the general rule of seismic response on this bridge.The dynamic time history analysis on RenMin bridge used the seismic waves of El-Centro, Taft and artificial wave fitted by the standard response spectrum, checked the results of the two methods and comparatively analyzed the effect of them on structure calculation.4,Choosed the El-centro seismic wave as the input of traveling wave, analysised the influence of traveling wave effect on RenMin bridge.5,With the model of consolidation in pier bottom and considering of pile-soil-structure interaction,the paper considered input of single direction and 3- direction, compared the results and draw the conclution of effect law of pile-soil-structure interaction on RenMin bridge.
