At present, the high-speed motor is appliedin many important fields, such as mechanical processing, aerospace, medical, military industry, textile and other industries, the demands is quite large. The high-speed motor is necessary in the industries which have strict request for the volume and quality of motors. There are many kinds of high-speed motor, andthe asynchronous induction motor and dc motor is commonly used..Relative to the traditional motor, brushless permanent magnet motor belongs to the emerging technologies at domestic. Its characteristic is high efficiency, easy to control, power density much better than traditional motor. It first started in Japan, and obtained the rapid development in Japan, currently in Japan more than90%of the motors used in living and productionare permanent magnet motor, instead of the traditional motor. In the aspects efficiency, permanent magnet brushless motor is5%-10%higher than the traditional motor. The brushless permanent magnet motorcan greatly save energy and mass can be effective control of environmental pollution and reduce the burden of power plant power supply. At the same time due to its control precision is much higher than traditional motor, it can play great role in some special application occasions.At present, high speed brushless permanent magnet motor has greatly developed in Japan, Europe and the United States.But due to its design and control is difficult, it was not used in a large range. The application is just in some top fields, such as aerospace, military, new energy, etc.This article uses the method of finite element analysis, to study the high speed permanent magnet motor design and finish sample motor. After testing, the motor test results conforms to finite element analysis. The test results of the mechanical strength of the rotor and magnetic properties are analyzed in detail, it can become a basis of the new high speed brushless permanent magnet motor design.
