Researches are mainly focused on the improving the performance of APF. This paper finished theoretical simulation, prototype production of APF and system experiments step by step. Meanwhile, it develops software and hardware of the digital controller based on dual-DSP.In view of complexity of APF control algorithm and instantaneity of harmonic compensation, the paper designs and improves a full-digital controller bases on dual-DSP, which reduces the prosessing time-delay and the calculation error, and is equipped with PWM drive, signal detection and fault protection.With analyzing the characteristics of different load types, this paper presents several control strategies. Considering difficult and main points for Voltage-Source Type Load compensation, the loworder harmonics detection method and the model predictive control algorithm are proposed. Furthermore, considering difficult and main points for Current-Source Type Load compensation, the composite control (Proportional+Fast Repetitive Control) is proposed in the paper. Simulation results validate the feasibility of the control strategies proposed.Based on conclusion of previous work, the full-digital APF controller is successfully applied to several prototype productions in laboratory and working site. Under these conditions, the APF took a series of experiments, and completed on-site commissioning. At last the experimental datum could satisfy the design specifications.
