With the increasingly fierce market competition and customer demand for products is increasingly diversified and personalized, which makes the production mode transformation from single-variety and large-batch production to multi-varieties and small-batch production. Various uncertain factors of workshop increase the effect on material distribution, and put forward higher requirements on production workshop material flow control. There are several problems existing in the flexible production workshop, such as the material flow information cannot be perceived in real-time and the lack of scientific and reasonable planning when formulating the material delivery plan. In order to solve these problems, the research on material flow control in multi-varieties and flexible production workshop is studied in this paper and a material control system was developed.Firstly, this paper expounds the connotation and characteristics of flexible production, analyzes the composition of production logistics system, and introduces two basic ideas of material distribution which are "push" and "pull", as well as problems of traditional material distribution mode. In view of the shortcomings that the traditional workshop material distribution mode had in which are about material flow information real-time sensing system is not perfect and the material distribution process is lack of flexibility, material flow control method of flexible production workshop was proposed. Based on the RFID and bar code technology, through the classification of the material flow data, building material flow information sensing platform and information sensing platform, and analyzes the typical material flow information acquisition process, realizes the real-time sensing of material flow information. Secondly, aiming at the problem of material distribution of various uncertain factors conditions in the production process, a multiple objective mathematical programming model under fuzzy position appointment time conditions is constructed and solved by an improved genetic algorithm proposed by this paper. In the algorithm design, the feasible insertion method is used to generate initial population generation for accelerating the convergence speed and the concept of narrow sense gene similarity is put forward to avoid crossover operation of high similar individual, at the same time adding double mutated mechanism to the mutation process to control the search range and convergence speed of global solution space. The algorithm is realized by using Matlab and the feasibility and validity of the model is proved. Finally, based on the research on material flow information perception and material distribution method, the material flow control system of multi-varieties and flexible production workshop was constructed and has been applied in an enterprise’s gearbox assembly workshop. The feasible and effective of the model and algorithm proposed in this paper is verified.
