Matrix converter (MC) is a good control performance and quality of powerconverter. With simpler structure, better controllable performance, less harmonicpollution to the grid, without large-capacity DC energy storage capacitor, and higherpower factor, this has become the focus people concern.Firstly, this dissertation introduced several common power converters, and thebasic topology of matrix converter and the conversion process, and the virtual DClink conception of matrix converter equivalent to AC-DC-AC structure wasdiscussed in detail,which the traditional SVPWM can be used in two virtual processand constitute the double SVPWM control, that carry on the two virtual process ofspace vector analysis, and deduce the judgment condition of its sector and thereference vector action time. Through integrating with the duty ratio of the two kindsof vector to realize the duty ratio of switch state combination of AC-AC directtransformation modulation strategy.Then research the related technical problems of matrix converter, aiming at thefour step commutation method is relatively mature in the commutation methods andgives the concrete analysis of commutation process. To prevent the higher harmonicsof input current due to the influence of the switching frequency that generatepollution to the grid, which propose a design method of the parameters with inputdamping filter. While the input filter will cause the decrease of the grid power factor,therefore, this paper gives a grid power factor adjustment method to realize thesystem run under unit power factor. In order to the implementation of the outputvoltage amplitude and frequency adjustment at the same time, and gives a variablevoltage variable frequency control strategy, which aiming at the control methodsabove has carried on the simulation and experiments verify.The simulation model of matrix converter was set up by the software MATLAB,and the double SVPWM control strategy and the related technical problems has carried on the simulation verify and the results analysis. Then, this paper choseSTM32F103RBT6and CPLD as the core controller, and designed hardware circuitsand software programs, and set up the experimental platform of matrix converter.Carried on a large number of experimental studies based on this platform, and thetest results validated the correctness and feasibility of the control strategy and theimplementation proposed in this paper.
