Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has the advantages of simple structure, smallsize, light weight, low loss, high efficiency and so on, especially the characteristics of low loss andhigh efficiency are consistent with energy-efficient concept, thus, the PMSM as execution unit ofAC servo system has been widely used in industrial production and other fields. Withmicro-controllers, power electronics technology and novel control strategies emerging, all-digitaland intelligent AC servo system has become the development direction. In this paper, in terms ofsystem architecture, software and hardware design, control strategies, permanent magnetsynchronous motor servo control system was designed on the basis of high performance controlchipDSP.Thepaper contentsasfollows:(1)Theservo-control scheme of permanent magnet synchronous motor was established on thebasis of the vector control and SVPWM technology, simulation experiment of servo-controlschemehasbeenconducted.(2)Thehardware circuit was designed with TI TMS320F2812DSP as the control core, whichcomprised apower circuit,controlcircuitand thecircuitof operationpanel.(3)The software part of servo control system was designed from general part and the mainfunction modules,experimentswereconductedto validatetheperformanceof servocontrol system.Software design for different function codes of operation panel was achieved in connection withfunctions of theservocontroller.(4)Position overshooting still exists in previous control scheme. Position sliding modevariable structure controller of permanent magnet synchronous motor was devised throughapplying sliding mode variable structure control to position control and deducing state equation ofpulserelation.The experimental results indicate that servo controller has completed its main function andhas good control effects. Position overshooting problem has been solved through applying slidingmode variable structure control to position control of permanent magnet synchronous motor. Thisprovides agood referenceforfuturepracticalapplication.
