Industrial robots have been widely used in such various areas as wide applicationin car welding workshop. So it has great practical meaning to study the welding robotintegration technology. The Welding robot integration technology is developingrapidly based on PLC technology, Computer technology, Fieldbus technology andSensor technology. There are many application integration technology companies athome.In this paper, the welding robot integration technology was put forward based onthe built-in PLC technology of the robot control cabinet. Robots are becomingstandard equipment, and it involved a variety of technologies for integration in carwelding workshop. The development in welding workshop of Industrial robotintegration technology is a combination process of standard equipment and non-standard equipment.Firstly, this paper introduced the process features of car welding workshop andthe body structure features, the commonly used several kinds of welding methods andwelding workshop. And the welding workshop several welding methods in commonuse was analyzed, preparing for the ground for selecting robot and improving thequality. Secondly, the layout of welding workshop based on the body structure featureand the application of the robot workstation were analyzed. Choosing the robot brandand model was realized after analyzing the performance price ratio and the locatinginformation. Thirdly, the welding robots were integrated in the welding line based onPLC technology, Computer technology, Industrial Ethernet technology. The cost of200thousand Yuan was reduced by use of the robot built-in PLC technology as wellas the welding spot quality been improved by use of the precise compensationtechnology.At last, the steps and methods of the welding robot integration based on theintegration ideas was analyzed.Robots are more and more widely used in welding workshop. At present, thecost is high of robot integration, and the application is a small amount. Now, Therobot integration is heading the way for low cost and high integration.
