As the public concern of the natural environment and world’s energy developmentdiversity has been much more, the wind power generation technology is gradually becomingthe hot focus of experts and scholars. Wind power generation is expected to be the importantthrust of the world’s energy conservation and emissions reduction to realize ecologicalenvironmental sustainable. And it is the fastest growing renewable energy technologiesbecause of its lower cost and higher energy conversion rate. It is acknowledged that wind iseverywhere and never dried up. Nowadays the main energy forms are thermal power andhydropower, while wind power generation technology has brought a new change in energymarkets by its environmental protection, clean, low cost and high energy conversation rate.Through the governmental encourage and energy policy, wind power markets are developingrapidly. And the subsequent questions how to improve the wind energy conversion rate, how toreduce the operation loads, has been the important attention subject. The paper uses thevariable speed variable pitch wind turbines system which can improve the wind energyconversion rate and improve the fatigue load produced by mechanical device. And this systemcan achieved the maximum power and realize the coordinated control of power an loads.The topic uses the grid-connected wind turbines system of variable speed variable pitchand double-fed induction generator as the research background. In view of large wind turbinespower optimization problems, the paper applies a new variable step mountain climbing searchpower tracking method for maximum power tracking. At present, there hasn’t a good solutionto solve the problem of wind turbines power and load coordinated control. Based on thedouble-fed induction generation, analysis the working principle of the double-fed inductiongeneration power system, and mainly study the maximum power tracking of wind powergeneration. Variable step climbing search algorithm can realize the fast tracking of maximumpower and maintain the stability of wind power system. The paper analyzed the variable pitchcontrol strategy, established the mathematical model of double-fed wind power generator andcreated the variable pitch control model. Use the variable step climbing algorithm as thecontrol core, set the software control platform. Apply the2MW variable speed variable pitchwind power system as the control object, and use the MATLAB/Bladed software operation. The simulated results of the topic show that the variable step climbing search methodcould realize the fast tracking maximum wind power and wind power optimization. Thecontrol method is simple and can achieve the higher wind energy utilization rate which has theguidance to the actual project, verify the feasibility of the scheme and reach the designrequirements of this article.
