The semi-physical simulation has high confidence level because the actual key ECU andactuators and sensors are included in the loop, and various failure modes can be carried out,which can greatly improve the efficiency of complex control system development. Thesemi-physical simulation test system has become an indispensable key facility in the course ofthe development of engine control system.To meet the requirements of the electronic controller test for an auxiliary power unit, thispaper carried out the development of a semi-physical simulation test system. The mainresearch work is elaborated as follow:(1) With the analysis of the APU controller interface, functions, parameters, the designscheme of a semi-physical simulation test system was proposed in this paper where the actualfuel regulator and speed sensor were included in the loop. The design scheme can not onlymeet the demand of semi-physical simulation interface for the APU controller, but also can beused as hardware in the loop simulation interface for the APU controller and a new modelcontroller. From the view point of function, the design mainly divided into5subsystems:simulation calculation subsystem, monitoring subsystem, fuel subsystem, speed simulationsubsystem and simulation interface subsystem.(2)In the hardware design of the semi-physical simulation system, the structureprinciple, resource configuration and implementation methods are stated in detail for fuelsubsystem, speed simulation subsystem and simulation interface subsystem. gives the fuel,speed simulation subsystem and the simulation interface subsystem. In the software design ofthe semi-physical simulation system, the software architecture, working principle and usingmethods are introduced for the simulation calculation subsystem and the monitoringsubsystem.(3) After the testing of each subsystem, a comprehensive debugging of the APUController Semi-physical Simulation Experimental System. The simulation loop oscillationproblem which caused by the unstable pressure of the fuel subsystem outlet was solved, andthe ideal semi-physical simulation test results was obtained.The Developed system has been used in the research of corresponding ECU control lawsand in the product inspection, where successful results have been achieved.
