This thesis studies were found on small-caliber Gatling naval gun automat, by means ofdynamic simulation to get the load spectrum data, application finite element static analysis toget static strength results file, according to Miner guidelines amended to get the materialfatigue life S-N curve, then using fatigue life and damage appraisal software predict thefatigue life and damage of the key components of breech under different firing cycle action.Using ADAMS virtual prototype technology, establish the firing cycle dynamicsimulation models of Gatling automata, combined scripting with sensor technology tocomplete mechanism action such as export gas, transport bomb,open lockout, firing, pulls outthe shell and throws the tube, based on the recoil displacement and speed of the automaton todetermine the accuracy of the simulation results, got the load spectrum of the breech in stateof motion, laid the foundation of the subsequent fatigue analysis of data.Applicating non-linear finite element analysis software of the ABAQUS, calculates thebreech of the first twenty-order free modal and modal constraints, get the vibrationcharacteristics corresponding frequencies, provide a reference for the structural design andimprovement. Using the transient state analysis step, doing the breech lock structure andbreech locking support structure strength checking, get the breech locking structure stress andthe maximum stress curve, get the maximum equivalent stress and deformation cloud imageswhile1-3bullets shooting at the same time of breech, and the stress and deformation changesof with time curve, from the results of the analysis known that meet the strength requirements.According to the theory of linear Miner revised guidelines and related formulae, use45CrNiMoVA material fatigue life data as reference, calculation and protocol the90%,95%and99%of three survival rate of fatigue life S-N curves. At the same time, use finite element analysis obtained static strength results of corresponding parts of the.ODB file. Combinedapplication of design life fatigue with damage evaluation software to predict the fatigue lifeand damage of small pulling shell hook, open latch surface and pulling shell hook, analysisand comparison of result and data, predicting the material life and damage of the breech underdifferent survival rates.In this paper, at the process to do the fatigue life and damage assessment to the keycomponents of the breech of Gatling automat, the analysis process and methods can providereferences and new ideas for similar analysis of mechanical problems in software.
