Energy is the essential resources and important strategic materials for human of survival andactivity, biomass energy is the total energy consumption in the world’s fourth place after oil, coal,natural gas, fossil energy resources. China, as the world’s large agricultural country, has abundantbiomass resources. Biomass solid fuel had many characteristics as clean burning, safe storageand sustainable development and so on. But the problems’ presence of biomass briquettingmoulding equipment, which was low productivity and high energy consumption per ton ofproduct, restricted its market-oriented and large-scale development.Against the problems of vertical ring moulding equipment, which production of low and highenergy consumption per ton of product, TRIZ theory was adopted for innovative design. TRIZtheory combined with design ideas, using the principle of double vertical ring die orifice ringmould structure design. On analysis by the material in the molding process of the forces, doubledie hole was determined, the center line of the lower ring die angle is10°.The angle of doublehole ring mould is8°. By compression moulding process materials for stress analysis, therelationships with seized angle and the ring mould eccentric angle was determined at differentbulk density. Through different angles and contrast test ton eccentric material consumption, thecenter of the ring mould centerline and modules line angle was determined, die hole eccentricangle is4.5°. To tie in double holes ring mould on the material seized, pressure roller designedfor dual face and vertical centerline of the die holes, pressure roller face angle is170°. Staticanalysis of ring mold with double holes were ANSYS FEM, through the moulding process ofdisplacement distribution, force situation was analyzed.The optimal parameters for equipment have determined: moisture content is26.2%, particlesize of material is6~0.15mm, gap of die roll is1.2mm, speed is163r/min for the highest rateforming but lower ton material consumption. In this parameter results showed that: productionrate of briquetting machine is2390kg/h, tons of material consumption is55.86kW·h/t, formingrate is more than96%, forming a density is more than1.14g/cm3.It was meet to the designrequirements and industry standards. Vertical ring mould biomass briquetting machine production parameters compared to the single ring mode, the innovative design of the deviceperformance has improved; the device itself lower compared with the upper ring mould,moulding rate, productivity has improved significantly, but density and mechanical durabilityless. The vertical briquetting machine with double ring moulding improved equipmentproductivity and product quality, provided the basis for Chinese biomass solid fuel industrialdevelopment.
