With the advancement of technology and social development,the car has becomean indispensable means of transport, a sharp increasing in the number of cars, makesenergy security and environmental pollution problems highly concernedabout,therefore,new energy vehicle has become the development direction of theautomotive industry. But at this stage, there is no breakthrough in batterytechnology,batterise’specific energy,safty and the cost,making the promotion of pureelectric vehicles slow speed.As the important period of the new energy vehicle,therange-extended vehicle makes up for the high cost of electric vehicle’s shortcomingsin a way,increases the acceptance of new energy vehicles of the public.Combined with the structure characteristics of RE bus,the paper selected the keycomponent and made the parameter matching,simply analyzed the control strategy,setup the cost model,coming to a conclution that the optimized pure electric drivingrange of the range-extended electric bus,the key elements are as follow:Firstly,analyzed the existing characters of the current research,getting that theRange-Extended vehicle is important stage of the car,designed the systemconfiguration and operating models of the bus,combined with the character of use ofthe bus,the structural characteristics of the traditional hybrid vehicles,analyzed theadvantage and feasibility of the Range-Extended electric bus.Secondly, the character use and operating condition of RE bus were positioned,accordingly presented its design specifications. On this basis,analyzed operatingcharacteristics of the key components: the drive motor, battery, the engine andgenerator, and presented in accordance with the vehicle design parameters,performance indicators, proposed specific selection and parameter matching program.Thirdly,analyzed the existing control strategies of RE,design the program of REcontrol system,analyzed the power source,optimized the parameter of thetraditional thermostat control strategy.Finally built the platform with CRUISE and Simulink software, to verify thedesign of bus power and economy.Proposed the lifecycle cost model,calculated thecost of critical system battery based on the different discharge rate,optimized thepure electric driving range.Finally,analyzed the government subsidies and rising oilprices and other factors on growth affect the development of theRE bus.In the design process,the paper focused on the effects of different discharge rateof the battery life and cost,set up the cost model,in the same time,optimizedthermostat control strategy is applied to the vehicle system simulationplatform,through comparative analysis,coming to a conclution that the optimalparameters of pure electric mileage’s parameter is designed,as well as the influenceof government subsidies and higher oil price to increase the development of REbus,provided the reference for engineering and product design development for theenterprise.
