As an application research for the Common Rail (CR) electronically controlled fuel injection techniques applied in modern marine diesel engine, this article has studied the involved theoretical issues and given deep investigations with the support of practical examples to explore the feasibility of these theories which may be used in engineering field. Therefore, this article is good guidance for improving the research and development level of new diesel engine manufacture in China’s shipping management field. It may also help Chinese marine machinery industry to increase their competitive power, and to breed more key techniques which have their own intellectual properties. In recent years, along with the improvement of Chinese and worldwide ship industry, the development of CR electronically controlled fuel injection techniques in marine diesel engine also makes a great progress, and thus the development of modern marine machinery manufacture techniques is promoted. Moreover, study in this item in China just begins, how to adopt international advanced CR control technology on our current industry level to further decrease the technology gap between developed countries and us, and instruct the study work of key techniques in this aspect. The questions need to be answered in this article include:(1) Analyzing advantages of the CR electronically controlled fuel injection techniques;(2) Analyzing the optional fuel injection modes under the CR electronically controlled fuel injection techniques;(3) Analyzing the combustion conditions under the CR electronically controlled fuel injection techniques;(4) Analyzing the discharge control and management under the CR electronically controlled fuel injection techniques.
