In recent years, with the urbanization process of our country developing quickly, the trend of city high-rise building has been more and more obvious. Because of the lack of land resources, the underground facilities develop rapidly. Since the twenty-one century, underground mall, underground parking, subway and underground municipal facilities can be seen everywhere in our country. As a result, building foundation pit area and depth increase fast which promote the development of foundation pit engineering and put forward many new support forms. At the same time, the theory of computation for the design and construction technology of foundation pit engineering has been more and more mature through continuous improvement. Because the foundation pit engineering is always large, the surrounding environment is very complex and the construction space is also narrow, engineering accidents still occur from time to time during the process of foundation pit excavation. The research of foundation pit is still an indispensable program as well as an eternal topic during the process of foundation pit excavation. With the continuous development of science and technology, more and more computer technology has been applied in foundation pit and foundation pit support design has obtained better technical support.Based on the actual situation of underground fire pump engineering of the old cadre activity center in Qinhuangdao city, this paper selects the soil nailing wall and cement soil retaining wall for retaining structure design calculation, and then analyzes the stability of the design results by using the software. Combined with the engineering budget, this paper also makes a comparison between the two supporting schemes. Finally, this paper carries on the two-dimensional finite-element numerical simulation to the soil nail wall supporting scheme which has been taken at last. Through simulating to the soil nail wall supporting scheme and comparing the actual test data, this supporting scheme is proved to be safe and reliable, and provides reference for similar foundation pit engineering in this area in the future.
