The Manufacture Of Large-Diameter Undisturbed Soil Sampler

Undisturbed soil refers to the natural structure of the soil is not damaged. Namely in the sampling process, the experimental soil samples are not deformed by the rotation or compaction. The structure defect or improper operation of the soil sampler may change the original state of soil. Therefore, it’s difficult to obtain high quality undisturbed soil in the actual sampling process.At present, researchers mainly use the soil cutting ring to collect undisturbed soil. But its diameter is very small, and the sample’s quality is affected by human experience and crop roots. There is still no large diameter soil sampler for farmland soil in our country, which, to a certain extent, has hindered the development of the soil research.Considering the difficulties encountered in the process of farmland soil sampling, combined with large diameter soil samples and the key issue of original state, in this paper,1design the structure, analysis the soil mechanics during the working, and calculate torque and pressure imposed on the main parts. After selecting materials and connections, it needs to check the strength and stability according to the force. For the complex parts, it uses software to simulate, analysis and optimize the structure to ensure its reliability. Moreover, it adds alloy cutters at the bottom of outer pipe to reduce the impact of crop roots. The drive is designed in accordance with the form of work. It also makes the feed controllable by combining the friction wheel and the screw with keyway. Finally, I select reducer and engine according to the power output, and finish the manufacture of the equipment. The soil sampler achieves the following technical indexes:it can collect a soil sample with50cm high and30cm in diameter, and cut off plant roots during the sampling process.The large-diameter undisturbed soil sampler’s success can provide the soil research with an effective tool. It has a good practical significance and application prospects.
