In recent years, rollover otfen happens to concrete mixer truck, but systematicstudy of its rollover stability is little. Based on the thinking of discretization of thecenter of mass, the author conduct systematic study about rollover stability of concretemixer truck.The heavy concrete mixer truck with14m3mixing drum nominal volume is takenas the study subject.Firstly, atfer analyzing the structural feature of concrete mixer truck, with thethinking of discretization of the center of mass, the structure of the truck is divided intothree parts: mixing drum,lfow plasmids in mixing drum and other parts of truck bodyincluding chassis. Make sure the center of mass of every part and study the change ruleof location of the center of mass of flow plasmids in mixing drum-Secondly, the cirtical rollover speed of concrete mixer truck making a turn isstudied separately on the urban road and highway road. The physical model of concretemixer truck making a turn under different roads is established, and the formula ofcirtical rollover speed under different dirving conditions is deduced by force analysis.Thirdly, rfom the structural factor how location of the center of mass of lfowplasmids affect the result is studied. Atfer establishing the full ifnite element model ofmixing drum and supporting devices, based on the modal analysis of three-dimensionobject model using pre-processing sotfware HyperMesh and finite elements sotfware,change rule of location of the center of mass of flow plasmids is given.At last, in order to verify the correct of the deriving course of the theory, by usingthe sotfware Matlab a digital computer simulation analysis of the formula of criticalrollover speed is made depending on the real truck’s data. Based on the thinking of discretization of the center of mass, the formula of criticalrollover speed of concrete mixer truck under different operation conditions is moreaccurate. From structural factor, the relation between change rule of location of thecenter of mass of flow plasmids in mixing drum and rollover stability of concrete mixertruck is established.
