Adsorption refrigeration uses environmentally friendly adsorbent, which has aeffective use of low-grade heat source and has more advantages than the traditionalcompressing refrigeration especially in environment protection and energyconservation, then received wide attention. However, adsorption refrigeration there arestill many problems to achieve practical, the longer refrigeration cycle time caused bythe chemical reaction of the working fluid for constrains its widely use. Thus, how toimprove the cooling efficiency of the cooling system is the focus content of recentadsorption refrigeration research.In this study, the adsorbent refrigeration system uses solar energy as the mainenergy source, ammonia as the refrigerant and calcium chloride as adsorbent. In orderto study the factors that affect the cooling efficiency of the system, we simulate theadsorption refrigeration system what uses Matlab/Simulink software. The main workand results of the study are as follows:(1) Based on the analysis of the basic adsorption refrigeration cycle, the heatenergy equation in the process of adsorption refrigeration is listed. The model of theCaCl2-NH3refrigeration condition is based on the Matlab, which is calculated andanalyzed for the influence of the cooling performance. In this text, it affects the COPof the system, at different desorption temperatures, evaporating temperatures,condensing temperatures, adsorption temperatures. Discover that the COP of thesystem, will have a maximum value when the desorption temperature around90℃,andwill be greater when raising the evaporation temperature, lower the condensationtemperature and adsorption temperature.(2) Design a solar continuous adsorption refrigeration system, including ammoniaevaporator, a condenser and two ammonia adsorption beds, and simulate the systemwhat uses Matlab/Simulink software. The variation of the temperature of theadsorbent bed was obtained in the simulation results. The hot water tank, condensingtemperature, evaporating temperature and the cycle time are analyzed on the coolingefficiency, what provide a theoretical basis for future experimental research.
