With the development of the society and economy, the quantity of vehicles keepsincreasing, which causes a serial of serious social problems such as more and moretraffic accidents, heavier traffic and so on. It is meaningful to develop a newtechnology such as The Positioning Terminal of Vehicles combining with embeddedtechnology, ARM CPU technology, the GPS (Global Positioning System) and GPRS(General packet Radio Service) in intelligent traffic to solve these traffic problems. Italso provides a new efficient way in managing transportation in modern society.After studying the research to the satellite data processing based on the Satellitepositioning theory, analyzing the GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) mobilecommunication process and collecting the car on-board diagnostic system (OBD) ofvehicle data, designing the μC/OS embedded opening system and the ARMembedded hardware system, the author proposes a whole solution of the PositioningTerminal of vehicles based on the technology of GPRS, OBD and Beidou positioning.It obtains the positioning data from GPS module, then extracts some useful messagethat we need from OBD, and finally displays them on the screen sent out by GPRSmodule, at the same time, the vehicle management-department receives the messagesby networks.The hardware design is comprised of STM32F103, extemal circuit, BD modulecircuit, GPRS module circuit, OBD/CAN interface circuit, senior collection circuit,storage circuit and power circuit. The software is based on the μC/OS operatingsystem. After Build compiler development environment. At first μ C/OS istransplanted to the ARM CPU. Then the software design adopts the Method ofmulti task programming for extracting BD Info, sending messages, Localdata storage and management, driver identification, vehicle information record andserver monitoring and management. Finally configuration and test thecompleted system.
