With the development of digital design and manufacturing technology, therequirements for products’ safe are increasing and manufacturing precision productsalso put forward higher requirements. In this situation, the test for forming products isbecoming increasing difficulty. At the same time, sheet metal parts for aircraftinspection requirements is also higher and more stringent requirements, whichproposed a new technique for measuring demand. Proposing a rational and efficientmeans or methods in the practical application of testing will help improving the qualityof sheet metal parts and shorten the production cycle and it will narrow the gapbetween China and developed countries in the field of digital test.Three-dimensional digital test technology has been the key to controlling thequality of products. This thesis research the development of aircraft sheet metal partsinspection process planning system based on the full three-dimensional model. First ofall, summarizing the characteristics of aircraft sheet metal parts and describing ofsoftware environment that this system required. By the way, this thesis also introduceCATIA V5and secondary development to CATIA, including the principles andarchitecture by CAA and technology of CAA C++. Details of the design of the testplanning system database, including database conceptual design, database logicaldesign and the tables in the database; by the way, this thesis also introduce theintegrated solutions. Next, pretreatment of the point cloud data that three-dimensionaloptical scanner get, first introducing the concept of the point cloud, then introducingthe noise removal and streamlining compression to the scattered point cloud data. Bythe way, scattered point cloud data space topology commonly used methods areintroduced. Selecting the appropriate method for the establishment of scattered pointcloud topological relationship is very important. Finally, analyzing and comparingdifferent algorithms to select the appropriate algorithm for point cloud data pre-preprocessing algorithm and corresponding improvements. Last but not least, thisthesis describe the system works and testing the typical aircraft sheet metal parts thenachieved good results and improve the testing efficiency.
