Honeycomb type spherical reticulated dome that the dome mesh is hexagonal structure and rod sparse has the architectural advantages of saving building materials, simple and transparent visual effect with a transparent cover material and looking like the hive about the overall structure.As a new spherical dome structure style, the dome improves the rods and the nodes design, production and construction efficiency because of fewer rods and nodes style.It is easier to realize the goal of standardized and mass production of rods and nodes. So,the dome has broad application prospects and space for development.Not only the honeycomb spherical latticed dome but also the concave honeycomb spherical latticed dome and honeycomb spherical latticed dome parametric design and modeling method are presented in this paper. The relationship between macro and micro geometric parameters about the dome is studied and the corresponding mathematical expressions are given in the paper.The generation rules of the grid are analized. The calculation model of the four kinds of honeycomb type spherical dome can be generated as long as inputting dome rise F, span S, radial node number Nx and thickness T with the programming language APDL in finite element analysis software ANSYS.The above two categories of four kinds of honeycomb type spherical reticulated domes are analyzed by using ANSYS software.The maximum displacement and the most disadvantageous stress position with different geometric parameters of the whole structure is studied under the structure under uniform load.
