A Study On The Form Of Architecture Interface Under The Background Of Technical Progress

Since1990s, science and technology progress has increasingly changed people’s habits ofliving, mode of production, aesthetic needs as well as the field of architecture. New structure,new materials, new equipment and new ideas have given architecture a brand-new appear-ance.Based on the diversified background, the thesis analyzes the architecture interface confi-guration in the context of technological progress.Primarily, a system review has been given to the historical evolution of architecturetechnology and architecture interface configuration, which provides an in-depth analysis of theinteraction between architecture and technology during the development process. The researchfinds that technology played different roles in different periods of the architecture and summa-rizes the unique form and characteristics of architecture interface in each period. The researchalso elaborates the logical relation among the three elements of architecture: dialectical unityand mutually conjugate. The review points that the development of architecture technology isclosely related to the entire social and cultural background, and serves as the objective ratherthan means of architecture. Since1990s, modern architecture has come to an unpredictableand diverse period and the uncertainty in the near future requires a deeper thinking of the crea-tion of architecture interface.In this thesis, the author applies macro-thinking and micro-analysis to construct a theo-retical research framework of architecture interface configuration in the context of technolo-gical progress, analyzing the interface configuration in three aspects: the form, the texture andthe place. Firstly, the development of building structure system and the wide application ofcomputer software make the architectural form become eclectic and varied; Secondly, with theadvanced material technology and breakthrough innovation in construction technology, thetexture of architecture interface becomes more diversified under the trend of skin, showing thetrend of ecological, intelligent and transparent; Thirdly, architecture is supposed to demon-strates the latest trends in technological aesthetics, as well as pursue the high quality, highaesthetic and high emotion in genius loci.Besides the theoretical analysis of architecture interface configuration, relative case stu-dies are also covered in the thesis. In conclusion, the author raises two questions: low tech-nology or high technology and how new technology approaching to the appropriate technology.Finally, the author summarizes the development status of China’s architecture techniques, andpoints out the deficiencies in techniques awareness, technology applications and technicalthinking and further suggestions are also raised for discussion.The thesis comprised about98,000Chinese words and106illustrations.
