In this paper, the author as a member of the design team to participate in the second "CHINACUCCup"-National Undergraduate Architectural Design Competition in2010for the study of theorigin. As the response to the race title "my city, my tomorrow," in this competition, teammembers using containers of residential, office modules ("P+R" mode) built a flexiblecombination Youth Community to solve a series of urban centers such as car congestion; edge ofthe city-Metro; perfect matching of urban public facilities; entering the community of youngpeople living with entrepreneurship; national security of housing regulations and policies relatedsocial problems under guidance of the instructor.As an opportunity to this paper, the author analyzed the characteristics of container buildings fromthe point of view of architectural design and focus on the discussion of the research of living spacebuilding renovation and design strategy. Based on the background conditions current globaleconomic development, such as the population explosion, UN living environment deterioration,frequent natural disasters and post-disaster reconstruction and rise international and domesticcontainer industry, as a new construction system, container renovated buildings are showing hugepotential and vitality in terms of development construction efficiency, economy and sustainability.Through a lot of interpretation about container architectural theory and practical projects both athome and abroad, for container construction, especially for the problems faced by residentialbuildings. try summarize the typology of comparative analysis method of transformation livingspace in the container construction cubes, mix and even modular design strategy.
