Research On Modular Design Strategy Of Contemporary Micro Residence

The development of China’s economy has brought about rapid urbanization,and more and more people have poured into cities.This has brought prosperity to the city,but also brought to the city such as high housing prices,housing shortage,traffic congestion,and other dwelling "mass" problems.With more and more single people living alone and newly graduated low-income groups in the city,people’s living concept has changed greatly.Contemporary cities are gradually moving towards the construction of urban mobility in a new way.People’s needs and activities have become the core basis of housing design.Therefore,this dissertation focuses on "people’s needs and activities",and proposes a new type of housing——micro residence,that is movable,growable,can be customized on a large scale,and conforms to the current social structure.First of all,this dissertation starts with the "mass" problems in our cities,puts forward a viewpoint of using modular approach to design micro residence,the research content includes not only the internal function design of a single micro residence,but also the combination form when many micro residences come together.Secondly,expounds the theories of micro residence and modularizayion,and lists some cases of architectural creation using modular approach to illustrate the significance of architectural modular design and the advantages of micro residence adopting modular design.Thirdly,it makes a detailed analysis of the contemporary social factors,human body scale,living subject and living demand in China,discusses the new design concept,characteristics and application scope of micro residence under the influence of modularizayion,decomposes micro residence into residential module and public module by means of modular"decomposition-combination" method,and puts forward the design strategy of each module.Taking the "grid method" commonly used in modular design as the internal organization rule,each module unit is combined to form a "stacked","framed" and"suspended" group residential form,and the coordination strategies of "decentralized","centralized" and "network" are put forward for the integration of micro residential into the environment,So as to form a set of modular design strategy of micro residence,and provide some new ideas for the architectural creation of micro residence in China.Finally,the modular design practice of contemporary micro residence is carried out by using the modular container.With the help of the structural framework,a "plug and play" type,movable and growing modular micro residence is formed to verify the feasibility of this design strategy.
