Permanent magnetic driver, based on permanent magnetic drive technology to achieve the force or torque to transmit by non-contact transmission, is a new type device of speed regulation and energy saving. With gradual promotion of the magnetic drivers in industrial application, it was expected to be more sophisticated in all aspects. Scientific computing and researches on performance of magnetic drivers play great significance on the development of the magnetic drivers.The thesis first introduced the background and developments of permanent magnetic driver at home and abroad as well as the future trends. Comparing the performance between permanent magnetic driver and other drivers, we obtained the characteristics of permanent magnetic driver. Then, with the principles of electromagnetic fields, the following work is deducing the working principles and designing the main structure of permanent magnetic driver. Accomplished the work above, we generally analyzed the technical characteristics of permanent magnetic driver.The thesis also designed the magnetic circuit of permanent magnetic driver, and required performance indicators, according to these performance requirements, with reference to the characteristics of permanent magnet materials to select the desired material; next, according to the characteristic curve of permanent magnet materials, the shape and size of the permanent magnet were determined; then, we designed the layout of permanent magnets and the form of magnetic circuit rationally; applying the simulation software AN SYS to simulate two-dimensional magnetic simulation, we obtained a complete closed magnetic circuit to verify the correctness of the magnetic circuit; at last, we optimized the diameter ratio, number of poles, thickness of permanent magnet, copper coil and steel plate.Finally, we applied the finite element method to research and analyze two-dimensional eddy current of the permanent magnetic driver, established a finite element model of the eddy current, and used the finite element method of ANSYS software to analyze the distribution of eddy current, which obtained the conclusion of eddy current and torque. Then the conclusions were given by calculations of torque and transmission efficiency.Through the design and the analysis on performance of permanent magnetic driver, conclusions were obtain, which have great significance for the design and performance characteristic discussion of magnetic coupling in the future.
